Formed in 2010 in the North East of England, The Mee Kats are a high-energy rockin’ trio dedicated to the authentic sound and spirit of 1950s rock ’n’ roll and rockabilly. Blending driving rhythms, twanging guitars and slap bass with a passion for vintage style, the band has become a respected name on the UK rockin’ circuit. The band was founded by lead singer Colin Mee, a veteran of the British rockabilly scene. Colin previously played drums with well-known rockabilly outfit The Sure Shots from 1984 to 1993, and has also fronted popular rockabilly trio The Skip Rats since 1987. His decades of experience and unmistakable passion for the music are at the heart of The Mee Kats’ sound.
